LETTERPRESS SOFTWARE RECEIVES TWO BEST OF STATE MEDALS LOGAN, UTAH LetterPress Software, Inc., located at Utah State University's Innovation Campus, has been named a recipient of two Best of Utah 2004 medals. The Best of Utah program is a statewide contest designed to honor organizations, businesses, and individuals who set a standard of excellence and innovation in their fields and who contribute to the state. Letterpress was recognized for excellence in the areas of Software Publisher and Education and Training LetterPress Software specializes in designing and developing technology-based training and educational software products. The United States Department of Agriculture, Mattel, Xerox, and Lockheed Martin are just a few of the company's clients. "We are very happy to be recognized for this great honor," says Mark Lacy, Senior Vice President of LetterPress. "LetterPress software truly is an innovative company and an asset to the state," says Teresa McKnight, manager of Innovation Campus. "We expect to see even greater things from them over the coming years." Started in 1997 by Utah State alumni Lacy, Leston Drake and Mike Petersen, the company has already received numerous awards, including Utah State University's first-ever annual "Innovation Award," a silver award at the Excellence in E-learning awards for work on an interactive simulation program, and the Cache Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award. All Best of Utah medal winners will be considered for the Best of Utah Statue (BOSS), offered in 11 categories, to be awarded June 19 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. # # # #
